Parish News and Notes
Hello everyone! This weekend we celebrate the
Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Chris
t--Corpus Christi Sunday. There will be a solemn procession with the Blessed Sacrament immediately following the 11am Mass. We also welcome back Fr. Tom Malia, who will preside at our Sunday liturgies this weekend, and we begin the archdiocesan-wide celebration of the Year of the Eucharist. We hope you will be able to join us!
A Message from the Liturgy Committee
This weekend, we celebrate the feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ and we also begin the celebration of the "Year of the Eucharist" as announced by Archbishop Lori. For more than a year, many have not been able to allow Jesus to enter under their roof. We encourage all to come and share the love of Christ through each other and through his Most Holy Body.
Archbishop Fulton Sheen once said "The greatest love story of all time is contained in a tiny white host."
The Liturgy Committee here at St. Charles would like to share with you a short video titled "The Veil Removed" which is a powerful and moving film that reveals the coming together of heaven and earth at mass. We feel that this film truly shares the love of Jesus Christ through the holy sacrifice of the mass.
And here is a special message from Archbishop Lori about the Year of the Eucharist:
A Novena of Masses will be offered for fathers—both living and deceased—beginning on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 20
. Please submit the names of those you wish to be remembered at the altar to the parish office by Friday, June 18
. Cards with offering envelopes are available in the church vestibule. Envelopes are also in the June offering packet.
If you have not resumed in-person worship, but would like a Father’s Day card for your loved one, please contact us in the parish office for assistance.
To submit your novena request/donation via online giving visit
and click on “Donate” at the top of the page—just select “16. Father’s Day” as the Fund for your donation and type in the name of your loved one in the space provided.
